David Moyes sent message by talkSPORT broadcaster as new job agreed after West Ham United exit

West Ham United manager David Moyes has been sent a new message by Tom Rennie after agreeing a temporary job following his London Stadium exit.

TalkSPORT announced on Thursday (9 May) that the Scotsman would be joining their team to provide some insight throughout this summer’s Euros, following the decision to not extend his contract with the Irons.

Julen Lopetegui is the current frontrunner to replace the 61-year-old and while nothing has been announced, talkSPORT broadcaster and West Ham fan has sent Moyes a five-word message ahead of his exit.

Writing on X on Thursday (9 May) Rennie said: “See you at the office.”

Will Julen Lopetegui replace David Moyes at West Ham United?

Most football fans wouldn’t have expected Moyes to be out of work for long after it was confirmed that he would be leaving the Irons, but few supporters would have anticipated seeing the Scotsman make the switch to punditry.

It had been clear for some time that the Irons were looking for alternative options to replace the 61-year-old come the end of the season so there is every chance Moyes has been looking for new work for a while now.

Rennie himself may have been slightly critical of the Hammers boss throughout his tenure in East London, but the majority of pundits and talkSPORT have sung the West Ham boss’ praises and been outraged by the decision to sack him.

Hopefully, he enjoys his stint as a pundit as you would imagine he would be in another job sooner rather than later. He may not be the right fit for the Irons anymore, but he is quite clearly still a very good manager.
