David Moyes responds with PL set to investigate Robert Snodgrass move to West Brom

David Moyes has responded to claims that the Premier League are set to investigate Robert Snodgrass’ move from West Ham United to West Brom.

Sam Allardyce confirmed before the Irons’ win on Tuesday that the Scotsman wasn’t allowed to play due to an agreement made between the clubs.

That is against Premier League rules, and it is reported that they are investigating a potential breach of that clause.

As relayed by journalist Joe Chapman on his personal Twitter account, Moyes didn’t let too much information on the matter slip.

No problem, they’ve [Premier League] got to do what they have to do,” he said.

“Robert Snodgrass is a great player, we’ll miss him. We’ve sent him our best wishes. We didn’t take a fee for him, because we have such respect for him.”

It will be interesting to see the outcome of this investigation.

Reports suggest that it is against the rules for one club to manipulate another into not selecting one of their own players in a game.

No one is saying that the Hammers have done that, but Snodgrass was registered so he could have played if Allardyce decided to name him in his side.

We don’t believe there won’t any serious repercussions over this, as both clubs were involved in these negotiations.

Time will tell, and we hope this doesn’t come back to haunt us as we take yet another significant step towards those European qualification spots.
