David Moyes receives inquiry from European club to leave West Ham United
David Moyes received an inquiry from Russian giants Spartak Moscow to see whether he would have interest in becoming their new manager if he leaves West Ham, according to the Daily Mail.
Writing on their website (30 April), the news outlet reported that Moyes has been identified as a target after Spartak sacked their manager two weeks ago.
But Moyes doesn’t want to commit to anything until the current season is over, with a final decision on his Hammers future not made yet despite the expectation he will leave the club when his contract expires.
Perfect timing for West Ham and David Moyes?
The decision for Moyes to move on has seemingly already been made, and the Hammers are already looking at potential replacements including Paulo Fonseca and Julen Lopetegui.
But Moyes has made it very clear that he feels as though the decision on his future is down to him, with talks scheduled for the end of the campaign.
However, now that the manager has been made aware of an offer for his services elsewhere it could open his eyes to potential opportunities away from the London Stadium.

West Ham have been branded as “disrespectful” for how they have handled the situation, but they are entitled to plan for their future too and can’t wait until after something happens to start planning.
It seems Moyes is in a similar position now and although a move to Russia seems highly unlikely, it seems like both parties are now planning for life without the other after this season.
In other West Ham news, five current first-team players are expected to leave during the summer transfer window.
