David Moyes reacts to Sean Dyche sacking news ahead of West Ham v Burnley

David Moyes has been left “shocked” with the news that Sean Dyche has been sacked by Burnley ahead of their clash against West Ham on Sunday.

The Clarets are struggling in the Premier League and they are fighting for survival. The timing of Dyche’s sacking has come as a big surprise for everyone.

The Hammers are heading into this game on the back of a 3-0 win over Lyon in the Europa League.

West Ham

“I’m shocked and a little bit surprised about Sean Dyche’s departure,” said Moyes, as quoted by the club’s official website.

“Maybe a little bit at the timing, but I’m more shocked because I think Sean has done a great job establishing Burnley over many years.”

Advantage

Dyche is one of the highly respected managers in the Premier League, especially for the tremendous job he has done with Burnley all these years.

Operating on a shoestring budget, he has managed to keep them in the Premier League for so long, and his sacking has really come as a bit of a surprise.

There are suggestions that Dyche may have fallen out with the board, and that’s why the club took such a bold step.

Burnley are battling for survival and the current situation puts them in further trouble.

West Ham

Having said that, the Hammers cannot take their focus out from this game, and they must ensure to pick all three points on Sunday.

The Hammers are in full confidence at the moment, and they look to return to winning ways in the league, having lost 2-0 against Brentford in their previous Premier League fixture.
