David Moyes not keen on signing Angelino and Julian Weigl for West Ham United

West Ham will continue to explore the market as David Moyes wants to bring in new faces but the likes of Angelino and Julian Weigl may not arrive at the London Stadium.

According to a report from The Daily Mail (2 August), Moyes has dismissed links with both Weigl and Angelino, suggesting that such talks are wide of the mark.

The Hanners are struggling to reach an agreement for Filip Kostic, but it seems Angelino is not a part of his plans.

Busy window

The Hammers are desperately looking to add a new left-back this summer. Arthur Masuaku has left the club to join Besiktas on loan, and the club need a cover for Aaron Cresswell.

According to Sky Sports journalist, Florian Plettenberg, who shared on Twitter on 2 August, the Hammers are following the situation of Angelino, who is also being targeted by Brighton.

La Voz de Galicia reported on 31 July that the Hammers want to sign the player immediately. The 25-year-old could be allowed to leave on loan, and he would have been a brilliant addition to the squad.

Likewise, Portuguese newspaper Record reported on 1 August that West Ham are looking to sign Weigl.

Bolstering the midfield is a priority for West Ham this summer, and the experienced German midfielder is available for a fee of around £12.5m.

He is a superb defensive midfielder who has got a wide range of passing, but Moyes may have other targets at the moment.
