David Moyes makes massive call - West Ham confirmed XI v Brighton

West Ham have confirmed their starting XI for the last Premier League game of the season as they face Brighton on Sunday afternoon [May 22].

The Irons have their sights set on Manchester United and a sixth-place finish as they look to qualify for next season’s Europa League.

Confirmed prior to kick-off on Twitter, David Moyes decided to make a massive call and name an unchanged starting XI to the team that faced Manchester City last time out.

Must win.

If West Ham have any hopes of usurping the Red Devils in sixth place they have to win this game and hope that Ralf Rangnick’s side loses which is very possible.

United have been awful this season, especially of late and they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on the last day of the season.

The Eagles will have a carnival atmosphere at home as the season draws to a close following the excellent job that Patrick Vieira has done in his first season in charge.

With that being said, the Hammers need to focus on the task ahead which is Brighton. They have also enjoyed a great season and will look to be ending it on a high.

The Amex is a very difficult place to go with the brand of football that Graham Potter likes his teams to play which means the Irons will have to be at their best.

No matter what happens at the end of the day, it has been a great season for the east Londoners, one that nobody would have expected at the start of the campaign.

It is imperative that the momentum gained is built on over the summer ahead of what should be another great term next time out.

In other West Ham news, Martin Samuel has responded to the latest West Ham London Stadium developments dubbing it the “deal of the century”.
