David Moyes makes early move to convince Jesse Lingard to join West Ham
David Moyes has reportedly made an ‘early move’ to convince Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard to join West Ham.
According to the Daily Mail, the soon to be free agent is expected to be courted by a number of clubs which is why Moyes has wasted no time in trying to convince him.
The Hammers are believed to have made an offer to sign the England international and it remains to be seen whether or not the 29-year-old fancies a London Stadium return.
Not this again
The Lingard transfer saga was all over the newspapers and media outlets last summer before the Hammers ended up without his services.
History could be repeating itself as he’s now a free agent and easier to sign by other clubs.
There could be overseas clubs that play in the Champions League that may want to sign Lingard in the summer.
At this point, the Manchester United outcast will have to make a decision about where his priorities lie.
If he wants to stay in England, then there’s no place other than London and he’s already got a good rapport with the West Ham fans and players.
However, signing a player whose best days are behind him may not be the ideal way out of this situation despite his ‘phenomenal‘ performances in the past for them.
