David Moyes lifts lid on West Ham ace Nikola Vlasic after horror incident
David Moyes has lifted the lid on how West Ham winger Nikola Vlasic is feeling after he was involved in Ashley Westwood’s horror injury last week.
The Burnley man was stretchered off after suffering a devastating ankle injury at the London Stadium which left the Hammers ace visibly distraught.
With Westwood now having successfully undergone his operation, Moyes shared the latest on how the Croatian international is doing.

He said in his pre-Chelsea press conference: “He has been fine.
“He realises he couldn’t do anything about it so it hasn’t affected him.”
Freak incident.
Of course, Westwood came off far worse from the challenge and it will be some time before he returns to the pitch but you have to feel for Vlasic.
It was an incident with absolutely no malice intended and his reaction afterwards serves as proof.
The West Ham forward was beside himself on the pitch having to be consoled by his teammates and hopefully, he hasn’t been too hard on himself in the aftermath.

It was a freak incident that can happen in football – nobody is to blame and hopefully, Westwood can make a full recovery and be back playing very soon.
The incident overshadowed a lacklustre afternoon for the Irons who were probably lucky not to have lost the game against the Clarets.
They will most likely find it very hard to get up for their remaining Premier League games from now until the end of the season with them not having much to play for.
Moyes should do his best not to risk any of the teams’ key players with all attention now seemingly on the Europa League and the three games that stand between the Hammers and the trophy and Champions League football.
It would be a massive shame if any more players were injured in deadweight domestic games, especially with them having much bigger fish to fry.
