David Moyes in line to be new Everton manager after what he did at West Ham
David Moyes is a “serious contender” to be the next Everton manager after impressing at West Ham, according to The Sun.
After a slow start to the season, Sean Dyche has found his role at Goodison Park under pressure and a 0-0 against 10-man Brentford on Saturday hardly helped matters.
The Sun reported on Saturday (23 November) that former Blues boss Moyes could be in line to return to the club with the job he did at West Ham being used as a reason behind the decision.
Could Moyes replicate West Ham success for Everton?
With another bleak start to a season for Everton, it’s no surprise to see questions being asked of Dyche at Goodison Park and with a tough run of fixtures ahead, the Blues boss may find himself unable to convince the club he is the right man.
The attraction of Moyes is also easy to understand, not least because of his previous spell with the club but also because his tenure at the London Stadium puts him in good stead to have an impact.
When the 61-year-old arrived at the East London club, they were 17th in the league and one point above the relegation zone. Though their season wasn’t impressive, the boss was able to steady the ship and guide them to safety.

However, it is what Moyes did since that gained him well-deserved credit as he led the previously struggling side to top six and seven finishes in the following seasons which allowed them to compete in Europe.
Furthermore, the Hammers’ Europa Conference League victory was a source of joy for the club and proved they are a side capable of winning silverware.
With the highly anticipated takeover at Goodison edging ever closer if the Scotsman could come in and replicate his Hammers success, it would no doubt go down very well with the Toffees.
In other West Ham news, with Julen Lopetegui continuing to struggle, Rory Jennings has taken aim at the boardroom.
