David Moyes hints that West Ham have some injury problems
David Moyes hints West Ham have some injury problems ahead of their game against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.
Speaking in his pre-match conference, the Scotsman confirmed that he had a couple of injury doubts, but he refused to confirm who they were and why they could miss the game [West Ham official website].
Clearly, Moyes is keeping his cards close to his chest, and we just have to speculate on who could be injured, but we would hope that neither of the doubts are key players as the Irons look to get a win.
He said: “We’ve probably got one or two injuries, one or two people coming back from international duty we’re having to look after. It looks like this break’s taken its toll on lots of teams.
“If I did have any nos, I wouldn’t tell you anyway! We might have some people who are unavailable.”
Interesting comments from Moyes.
It seems that the Scotsman wants to keep everything under wraps, and we might only find out who he is on about when he announces his team on Sunday.
The Irons haven’t had that many injuries to deal with so far this season, but considering they are competing on three fronts at the moment, perhaps it was only a matter of time before they started to happen [Premier Injuries].
Certainly, it will be intriguing to see who Moyes is without on Sunday as the Irons look to bounce back after their defeat against Brentford.
The Hammers are unbeaten on the road, and you would think that if they leave Goodison Park with that record intact, then they will be happy with how they have done.
The Toffees have had a good start to the season, so it will be interesting to see how Moyes does up against Rafael Benitez on his old stomping ground.
