David Moyes flop and George Earthy – All five players set to leave West Ham in 2026

West Ham have several contract decisions to make over the next few months.

All focus will now be on gaining points on the pitch after a disappointing end to West Ham’s summer recruitment.

The Hammers looked poor in their opening two Premier League games, but there is renewed hope after Graham Potter secured his first win of the season against Nottingham Forest.

However, the Irons still need to address the contract situations involving six of Potter’s first-team players, who, as things stand, are in line to move on from the London Stadium in 2026.

George Earthy is among the list of names who could leave, as West Ham Zone highlights the decisions that need to be made.

West Ham must extend George Earthy’s contract

Earthy impressed during his loan spell with Bristol City last season, and was notably brilliant in their 2-1 win against Middlesbrough in February.

With the Robins 1-0 down, he bagged both goals to flip the game on its head.

Earthy is expected to have a breakthrough season with West Ham, after spending a lot of preseason in and around the first team squad.

Earthy turned down multiple loan offers from the Championship to stay and fight for his place.

The midfielder’s contract runs out next summer, but given his promise, the Hammers would be fools not to extend his contract.

The 20-year-old, alongside Freddie Potts, looks to be the future of the Irons, especially given how poor their midfield has been in recent seasons.

Four others set for West Ham exit in 2026

While Earthy must extend his stay, West Ham flop Andy Irving will finally leave next summer, after he turned down multiple approaches from Wrexham and Millwall.

The midfielder was signed by David Moyes in 2023 in a bizarre transfer that has never paid dividends.

Callum Wilson’s contract could be extended, but given his age and injury record, that currently seems unlikely.

Meanwhile, Wes Foderingham and Guido Rodriguez are nailed on to leave the Hammers, with the latter close to exiting the club this summer.
