David Moyes days at West Ham United now seem numbered as influential dressing room figures appear to turn on him

David Moyes appears to be fighting a race against time in order to keep his job at West Ham as there is more than pressure from fans on him.

Losing 4-0 to Brighton is unacceptable for any Hammers side, let alone one that’s finished in the European spots for two years in a row.

In addition to that, they’ve recruited top players like Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta, but somehow the team seems to be worse than before.

According to Six Foot Two [7 March], coach Mark Noble and captain Declan Rice had heated words with Moyes after their 4-0 loss to Brighton on Saturday, 4 March.

While it hasn’t been revealed as to what the fight was about, it could be down to the fact that they’re questioning his tactics during games.

For fans to be against you is one thing, but for Noble and Rice, two of the most influential figures at the club to get into heated words, it signals the beginning of the end.

Rice is unlikely to stay at the London Stadium beyond the end of the season, but it is a club that’s extremely close to his heart.

He would not want to see them getting relegated and neither would Noble who is an employee and a legend at West Ham.

If supporters were given the choice, they would rather give the reins to Noble until the end of the season than let Moyes continue.

Another defeat could be the end of his reign at the club and while it’s been a successful one, it should not be ending in such a disastrous fashion.

Fans will love him for what he’s achieved over the last two seasons but his goodwill has now run out and the time to go has arrived.
