Danny Ings and Aaron Cresswell exits on the cards as West Ham United target multiple new signings
Danny Ings and Aaron Cresswell could be leaving West Ham this summer as a number of the club’s domestic quota are expected to go, according to The Sun.
The paper reported via their website on 29 April that the Irons are planning to make a host of signings towards their eight required “homegrown” players, with Jacob Greaves and Callum O’Hare both targets from the Championship.
It is reportedly set to be a “busy summer ahead” as West Ham look to reinvest in the squad, with the Hull City defender and the Coventry City midfielder wanted to fill the necessary spots reserved for homegrown options.

It looks set to be a summer of major change at the London Stadium with David Moyes’ contract expiring at action finally being taken towards a replacement.
If the Scot does move on it will he somewhat ironic for Tim Steidten to set out on a mission to sign a load of domestic players when that has often been Moyes’ preference and the two have clashed in their season together at West Ham.
Ben Johnson is another who looks set to depart with interest now widespread in the Premier League and the defender having rejected new contract offers from the Irons, while Divin Mubama’s deal is up too and he has also extensions rejected so far [The Athletic, 29 January].
Kalvin Phillips will certainly not be sticking around after his disastrous loan from Manchester City, which backfired on Moyes in a big way, while Michail Antonio, 34, has long been linked with moving on himself.
Cresswell has been a great servant to West Ham but it is a surprise he has lasted this long when he has wanted to leave for some time, while Ings has never really got off the ground since arriving from Aston Villa a year and a half ago, having scored just four goals for the club in 49 appearances.
But it will only add to the dearth of attacking options if he goes, with none of Gianluca Scamacca, Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma replaced in the past year, Antonio and Mubama possibly leaving, and Lucas Paqueta still in the sights of Manchester City, so it will be a major job to restock the forward areas.
