Daniele Rugani would be a smart signing for West Ham
West Ham have been linked with a move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani in January, and he would be a cracking signing for the club.
According to a recent report from Italian media outlet, Calciomercato, the Hammers are still interested in signing the 27-year-old defender.
West Ham fans will know that the Hammers showed keen interest in signing Rugani in the summer of 2020, but the deal didn’t materialise back then.
There’s an opportunity now, and this time West Ham must not miss out on their target.
Rugani made a huge impact when he first burst onto the scene, but in the last three years, he has been constantly linked with a move away from the club.
Last season he managed only 14 games and this season he has only four appearances to his name in all competitions.

Surely, he must leave the Old Lady to resurrect and he is at the right age to do so.
The Italian defender is a vastly experienced player who has won five league titles with Juventus, and he would be a very good signing for the Hammers.
Moyes has admitted (8 December) this week that he could be looking to sign a defender, and Rugani should be on top of his list.
Angelo Ogbonna is out for the rest of the season, while Kurt Zouma is expected to be on the sidelines for a while.
West Ham, now backed by new stakeholders, have the money to help Moyes out, but if they want to play safe, a loan move in January won’t be a bad option.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers need to make a decision on a transfer target who could be on the move in January.
