Crystal Palace could be without four players for West Ham United clash

Odsonne Edouard could miss Crystal Palace’s next Premier League fixture against West Ham United after picking up a knock in the Eagles’ win over Southampton, according to Football London.

The striker was forced off with a knock in the latter stages of the game against Ralph Hassenhuttle’s side.

It’s understood (Football London, 1 November) that Edouard could be joined by Cheick Dourcoure on the sidelines, with Chris Richards and James McArthur already out of the fixture.

Tough test

Palace have always proven to be a tough test for whoever they come up against in recent years and are certainly a club heading in the right direction in terms of their recruitment and how they play under Patrick Vieira. This fixture is massive for the Hammers to ensure they’re competing in the top half of the table for when the World Cup break starts.

The Irons are currently three points above the relegation zone but are also just two points behind the Eagles who currently sit in tenth position in the table. A win will take David Moyes’ men above Vieira’s side and into the top half of the table. West Ham desperately need to find some consistency after struggling to string wins together in the first half of the season.

West Ham

When things start to really click for the Hammers, there’s no reason why they can’t go on a good run up the table. Moyes’ side were so unfortunate not to pick up anything against Manchester United, with an inspired David De Gea standing in their way.

The key is for these players to remain confident in what they’ve been told to do and continue to put it into practice because soon the results will begin to flow. Moyes could also have Maxwel Cornet available for the fixture.
