Craig Dawson and Maxwel Cornet have a chance of being fit for Premier League clash v Bournemouth

David Moyes has revealed Maxwel Cornet and Craig Dawson both have a chance of being fit for West Ham United’s Premier League fixture against Bournemouth.

Dawson was forced off in the Hammers Europa Conference League victory over Anderlecht with a dead leg and hasn’t featured since. However, Moyes has since revealed (Football London’s, Jonty Colman 21 October) he could feature.

Cornet is currently out with a calf strain and it’s been suggested that although he has a chance of playing, the game may well come to soon for the Ivorian.

Good news

It’s good to hear of Dawson’s return, with the 32-year-old showing his importance for the Hammers in the 2021/22 season, with Moyes’ side upturn in form during his spell in the team. With Nayef Aguerd still injured having Dawson back in and around the matchday squad is good news for the West Ham boss.

Cornet still needs to get going in a claret and blue shirt. The injury hasn’t helped his cause but with Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta beginning to find their feet, he is looking like the one summer transfer that is currently not working out.

West Ham

A fit fully fit Cornet is a more than capable and versatile Premier League player. He just needs a consistent run of games without another injury blighting his progress.

Bournemouth is going to be a tricky test with Gary O’Neil’s side in excellent form since he took the caretaker role at the club. Many thought Bournemouth would struggle this season but it has been a different story so far.

The Hammers cannot just turn up and expect to get over the line against the Cherries.
