Confirmed West Ham United starting XI v Genk

West Ham United face Genk in Belgium in their fourth Europa League group game this evening, and they have confirmed their starting XI for the clash.

The Hammers won their opening three games of the campaign, and they will be looking to win the return legs too and finish top of Group H.

Thursday’s clash is David Moyes’ 1000th game as a manager, and he has handed the fringe players the chance to impress as usual, with West Ham confirming the starting XI on their official Twitter account.

Massive game

With six points between them and the other three teams in the group, West Ham need just one more win to book their place in the last-32.

Picking up four points from their last three games will see them finish top of the group, and that should see Moyes hand a lot of the youngsters the chance to impress in the last game.

For today, he has gone with a strong squad capable of picking up a victory away from home, and Alphonse Areola will be particularly looking to impress having struggled to displace Lukasz Fabianski from the Premier League first-team.

The Frenchman earned a recall to the national team today after being omitted from recent call-ups, and that should spur him on tonight when the Hammers take on the Belgians.

Vladimir Coufal is another player who will be looking to prove himself after seeing Ben Johnson hold on to the starting berth at right-back in the Premier League.

The Czech Republic international recently returned to full fitness, but the youngster put in some fine performances in his absence and established himself as a key player.
