Confirmed West Ham United starting XI v Aston Villa
West Ham United face Aston Villa this evening away from home, and they have confirmed their starting XI for the Premier League clash.
Having narrowly won their last two league games, the Hammers will be looking to make a statement against a Villa side that have lost their last three games.
David Moyes has opted for a strong line-up, and West Ham have confirmed the starting XI on their official Twitter account prior to kick-off, with Vladimir Coufal, 29, remaining on the bench having missed the last two league games to injury.
Three points needed
The Hammers can go level on points with third-placed Manchester City with a win at Villa Park, and going three points clear of Manchester United will definitely provide them with a much-needed boost going forward.
Moyes already has his first-team sorted out, and it is not a surprise to see that he has stuck with the same line-up from his last two league games on Sunday.
Ben Johnson has done well since Coufal picked up a knock after the Brentford game during the last international break, and he deserves to retain his spot.
The 21-year-old put in some top performances against Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, but his Czech Republic international teammate remains first-choice and is likely to be back in the team soon once he regains full fitness.
A win at Villa will not come easy, but West Ham can go toe to toe with any team with this line-up, and a draw will be regarded by some as a disappointment.
