Club insider confirms West Ham appointment of behind-the-scenes duo
West Ham United have made the decision to once again employ Stuart Pearce in their backroom staff.
Reliable club source ExWHUemployee detailed the appointment on his personal Twitter account on Monday.
David Moyes is putting together the final touches of his backroom staff after replacing Manuel Pellegrini midway through the last campaign.
It was also shared that Moyes has brought in a fitness coach who he also worked with during his time at Goodison Park.
“Stuart Pearce has rejoined the West Ham backroom staff,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
“This is not to replace anyone and is an additional member of the coaching staff. We have also appointed another fitness coach who Moyes worked with at Everton.”
Moyes has already worked with Pearce before at the London Stadium, and it looks like they are set for a reunion on the touchline next season.
Pearce and the unnamed fitness coach will have until the 12th of September to get the Hammers squad prepared, with the Premier League already confirming the return date.
It appears to be a massive U-turn from both David Sullivan and David Gold, who sensationally blocked Pearce’s return to the club when Moyes was appointed as manager once again at the beginning of this year [BBC].
We look forward to seeing Pearce in-and-around the first-team once again, and he will not need a second invitation to get stuck into the lacklustre bunch.
