Clive Allen gushes over superb West Ham United duo against AEK Larnaca live on BT Sport
Clive Allen led a rave review on West Ham United duo Michail Antonio and Said Benrahma after they combined wonderfully to score the opening goal in their European Conference League encounter against AEK Larnaca.
The Hammers continued their blemish-free record in Europe this season with a comfortable 2-0 win in the last-16 encounter, with Michail Antonio netting a first-half brace on his return from injury.
Providing analysis live on BT Sport at half-time (Thursday, March 9, 18:20 pm), Allen waxed lyrical about Benrahma – who was the architect of the goal with a devilish cross – and Antonio, who was on hand to finish off the move.

He said: “That is a superb finish, it’s a wonderful cross and Antonio finding himself in the near post area completely unmarked.
“For whatever reason, Tomovic and Milicevic are nowhere to be seen. Superbly delivered cross, there’s pace and he has to help it on his way and he does perfectly.”

Job done
Moyes has once again eased the pressure on his job as speculation began to reach boiling point, and the form of Antonio would have come as an added bonus as the club now turn their attentions back to the Premier League.
The 32-year-old striker was brought back into the starting line-up after recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined against Brighton last weekend, and he looked like a man possessed, leading the line with power, pace and a clinical edge.
The battle against Danny Ings to lead the line in the Hammers’ upcoming clash against Aston Villa on Sunday (12 March) is now well and truly on.
Benrahma, meanwhile, continued to be a threat in the attacking third during the European Conference League encounter. The 27-year-old has gone somewhat under the radar for West Ham United this season, but only Morgan Gibbs-White and Alex Iwobi have created more chances from open play outside of the Premier League’s ‘big six’ clubs.
