Chris Sutton sends David Moyes job message after West Ham United win v AZ Alkmaar
Chris Sutton has praised David Moyes for the “brilliant” job he has done at West Ham United.
The praise comes after the boss guided his side into the Europa Conference League final following their 3-1 aggregate win over AZ Alkmaar in the semi-final.
The Hammers won the first leg 2-1 at the London Stadium last week (11 May), before winning the second leg 1-0 in the Netherlands on Thursday (18 May).
West Ham will now face Italian side Fiorentina in the final, which is scheduled for 7 June. The Serie A outfit won their semi-final against Basel 4-3 on aggregate.
“What a brilliant job David Moyes has done at West Ham,” Sutton wrote on Twitter.

Moyes has come under plenty of criticism this season, with the manager once in real danger of losing his job not so long ago given the club’s worrying domestic form.
The club still aren’t mathematically safe from relegation, but they have all but secured their safety with two matches remaining, with a European final now to look forward to.
The Hammers have had plenty of tough tests across their fantastic run in the Europa Conference League, and the final encounter with Fiorentina looks set to be no different.
Spirits were once extremely low in East London this season, but Moyes has completely turned things around, much to the delight and indeed surprise of many within the game.
The situation is made all the more dramatic given how nobody is really sure if Moyes will still be in the West Ham dugout next season, with the major European final perhaps representing his final game at the club.
