Chris Kamara lauds West Ham after 3-2 win over Liverpool

Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara has heaped his admiration on West Ham following their 3-2 won over Liverpool on Sunday evening.

David Moyes’ side welcomed the Reds to the London Stadium and executed their game plan perfectly to earn a famous 3-2 win over Jurgen Klopp’s previously-unbeaten side.

The Hammers haven’t been short of praise throughout the early stages of the campaign and Chris Kamara, via his Twitter account, was quick to compliment them following their mammoth result, describing them as the “team of the season so far” and “great to watch”.

A glorious few months

There’s no doubt that Moyes’ men have built on last season’s unexpected success by having a glorious few months to kick off this campaign.

They’ve gone from previously unattained heights to even loftier ones this time around, putting in consistently brilliant performances of varying styles but almost invariable success.

Across the Premier League and EFL Cup, West Ham have already beaten Leicester, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester City, and now Liverpool – all while having secured passage to the Europa League knockout phase with three wins and a draw in four group games.

All claims that West Ham are a bit faulty against the teams that they want to compete amongst can now be extinguished. Sunday night’s controlled and masterful victory over Klopp’s Liverpool was a fantastic moment for the club; a moment signifying their arrival to the big time.

West Ham are, as the fans love saying, massive. They are firmly and realistically in the race for Champions League football. And, in truth, they have really been the team of the season thus far.

In other West Ham news, here’s how the Hammers rated from that 3-2 victory over Liverpool.
