Chris Foy: Craig Dawson goal in West Ham v Leicester deserved to stand
Chris Foy has claimed that West Ham defender Craig Dawson was rightly awarded a goal in the dying stages against Leicester on Sunday evening.
The Hammers were a goal down in extra time and the centre-back’s effort found the back of the net after the ball went in off his shoulder.
This saw David Moyes’ men come away from it with a point as the game ended 2-2.

Looking at the footage of this goal on Premier League’s Weekend Review, Foy, a former Premier League referee said, “I’m more than happy with that decision (to allow the goal). They’ve got it spot on and they deserved it.”
Obvious call
It was ridiculous to see the Leicester players protest the goal being given and making it a controversial situation.
Dawson rightly found the back of the net and by the letter of the law, the goal should have been awarded,
The Foxes probably felt that they get robbed of it at the end, but on the balance of things, it was a fair result.

This could be seen as a chance wasted as both Manchester United and Spurs dropped points at the weekend.
Arsenal may be behind, at the moment, but they’ve got games in hand, and things can change very quickly in the Premier League.
However, as long as David Moyes has got this bunch of players motivated, the sky is the limit.
