Carlton Cole ruffles Jason Cundy with West Ham argument live on talkSPORT
Carlton Cole has left Jason Cundy ruffled on Monday after debating how big of a club West Ham United have become.
The former Irons attacker insisted that other London rivals such as Spurs are smaller, with their history lacking compared.
That left Cundy spitting feathers, as he insisted that the Hammers may need to win the Premier League to start the journey to becoming a “big club.”
Cole questioned his fellow talkSPORT pundit and it led to a flustered debate on Monday afternoon.
“Are you saying Spurs are a bigger club than West Ham?” he said.
“Oh come on,” Cundy replied.
After the video was posted on Twitter later, Cole took to his own account to send a message reacting.
“A few ruffled feathers,” he said.
We all know how talkSPORT works, it is all about sparking reactions from fans and listeners and there aren’t much better at that than Cundy.
The Chelsea-supporting pundit even suggested at one point that Brentford were a bigger club than the Hammers with a better stadium.
Even with a new stadium for their Premier League bow, there are still stadiums in League One bigger.
Spurs and Arsenal both finished below the so-called “small” Irons last season despite their huge spending, and it could easily happen again this season.
With a strong end to the transfer window behind us, another year in Europe is well on the cards under David Moyes.
All the Hammers can keep doing is winning games and staying in the mix yet again, who knows where it will take us this time around?
