Jamie Carragher backs West Ham United to achieve a Premier League first as he predicts result v Brentford
Jamie Carragher has predicted that West Ham will play out a 1-1 draw with Brentford in this weekend’s Premier League showdown.
The Hammers make the trip across London to the Gtech Community Stadium looking to build on their midweek EFL Cup win over Arsenal.
Brentford have won all four of their Premier League games against West Ham, scoring twice in each match and keeping three clean sheets.
However, predicting the match for Sky Sports’ Super 6, Carragher believes West Ham will pick up a first point against the Bees in the competition.

There is no doubt that West Ham’s record against capital rivals Brentford has been poor since the Bees were promoted to the division in 2021.
The Irons have conceded exactly twice in each of those four defeats and scored just once, meaning an aggregate scoreline of 8-1 in Brentford’s favour.
An FA Cup third-round win in January was a rare cause for celebration in this fixture, but West Ham were knocked out in round five anyway.
While the midweek win over Arsenal was a brilliant result and performance, league form has dropped off quite alarmingly in recent weeks.
Having taken 10 points from their first 12, it is now just four from the past 18 for David Moyes’ side, who are eight points off the top five.
