West Ham United are interested in hiring Brentford’s Thomas Frank to replace Julen Lopetegui, according to The Telegraph.
However, the newspaper, reporting via their website on 5 December, added that there is a buy-out clause in the Danish tactician’s contract that could cost the Irons £9million.
Graham Potter, Edin Terzic, Roger Schmidt, Sergio Conceicao and Massimiliano Allegri are also being considered to replace Lopetegui.
Thomas Frank to West Ham on cards as £9m update emerges
Lopetegui is under increasing pressure in East London as the Hammers sit 14th in the Premier League, just six points above the relegation zone.
There were suggestions that the Irons hierarchy could pull the plug on the Spanish tactician ahead of the game against Wolves on Monday [9 December], but he is now expected to be in the dugout at the London Stadium [Sky Sports].
Should things not improve, the former Sevilla boss will find it hard to avoid the sack at West Ham, which is why replacements are being considered.
Speaking on talkSPORT [4 December], Darren Bent touted Frank as a possible candidate to take charge of the Irons and it appears David Sullivan and co are in agreement.

However, it remains to be seen if they will step up their interest in the Brentford boss, especially if it comes at a cost of £9m.
It is worth noting that they would also have to pay Lopetegui, who arrived on a two-year deal in the summer [Sky Sports], a severance pay.
