Bowen says West Ham have ‘more than enough’ for second half of the season
Jarrod Bowen believes West Ham have done ‘more than enough’ so far this season in their fight for Champions League football.
David Moyes has done an excellent job so far this season with the Hammers sitting comfortably in fifth place – just one point from Manchester United in fourth – as well as preparing for the last 16 of the Europa League.
The Hammers lack of signings in January has given the team an uphill battle but the winger believes they have what it takes as the business end of the season approaches.

“I think if you look at the games we’ve had already, we’ve had 23 Premier League games, the Europa League, Carabao Cup games, the FA Cup as well.” Bowen told the PA news agency.
“We’ve had a lot of games already and the squad has done more than enough right now, so now it’s about as a team pushing forward again over the second half of the season,”
Tough task
With all of the Irons players fit and firing, they would have absolutely no problem fighting down to the wire on all fronts.
They showed in the first half of the season just how good they were when Moyes had everyone available but much like any season, the strain put on players through the intense playing and training schedules as well as covid to compete with in recent times can decimate the best of squads.

Something that West Ham do not have unfortunately which is why additions in January were essential.
This club has never thought on as many fronts as they are currently which has impacted the squad. Moyes has a lot of talent at his disposal but as seen all over the squad, most evident with Michail Antonio being the team’s lone striker, the Hammers are one or two injuries away from a complete crisis.
It would be a shame to waste the hard work and progress these players have made this season and with the money apparently there to spend, West Ham must strengthen as soon as possible.
The club needs to build on this momentum if they want to maintain performance levels and hold onto their best players.
