Bowen sale claim made as West Ham United lose key man – ‘There’ll be riots’

Jarrod Bowen was one of only a few positives for West Ham United last season.

The Hammers have done well to keep hold of the star so far this transfer window, though rumours surrounding his potential London Stadium exit have recently gone quiet.

Graham Potter will be desperate to keep Bowen at West Ham as he looks to put the Irons’ poor 2024-25 campaign behind them this coming season.

Jamie O’Hara claims there would be ‘riots’ should West Ham sell Bowen

As West Ham captain, you can see how much Bowen has committed to the club and enjoys playing at the London Stadium and wearing the Claret and Blue shirt.

However, if a serious offer were to come in for Bowen, it would be something that the Englishman wouldn’t be blamed for exploring.

The 28-year-old made 34 Premier League appearances, having suffered with injury for parts of the season.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has claimed that Hammers supporters aren’t too bothered about key man Kudus joining Spurs and would be significantly more angry should they choose to sell Bowen.

Speaking on talkSPORT (9 July), O’Hara said: “If [West Ham] sold Jarrod Bowen, there would be riots.

“He’s their best player. I think with Kudus they’ll be gutted, but I don’t know if too many West Ham fans will be really annoyed by it.”

Bowen can push West Ham on

The Hammers have yet to have lift off so far this summer.

Should Potter’s side fail to bring in any notable signings, Bowen will again be key to keeping West Ham away from the relegation zone.

If the attacker can have an even better campaign next term, though, he could end up pushing the Irons further up the table and back to competing in Europe.

However, a sharp upturn in form could mean that Bowen is subject to further interest in the transfer window, and the Hammers could be forced to sell with PSR restrictions breathing down their neck.
