Bilic in agreement after what Simon Jordan said about Lopetegui at West Ham

Slaven Bilic agreed with Simon Jordan that Julen Lopetegui is “not all the way” at West Ham in terms of his style of play.

Julen Lopetegui remains under pressure to keep his job at West Ham and Monday’s (9 December) fixture against Wolves could be his last in charge if the Irons fail to win.

Speaking on talkSPORT (9 December, 12:45pm), Jordan explained how West Ham fans wanted something different to David Moyes, who has since been linked with a return, but instead got Lopetegui who is “not all the way” when it comes to the desired style of play.

Ex-Hammer boss Bilic agreed with Jordan’s claim and said: “I think the same. But West Ham spent a lot of money, and really on paper, when you look at the team on paper, upfront, when you have [Jarrod] Bowen, Bowen’s got 15, 20 goals in him.

“You have [Mohammed] Kudus, a good player, an attractive player, who also likes to assist and score goals.

“They bought [Niclas] Fullkrug. He’s been injured. So when you see those players, and when you see [Lucas] Paqueta, and when you see ball-playing centre-backs, and when you see we are not bad there, you know what I mean? It’s all there. It’s all there. This is the year.”

Julen Lopetegui needs to go regardless of what West Ham do v Wolves

Once a manager has lost the trust of supporters, there are very few instances of them winning it back.

Of course, it’s not only supporters Lopetegui has lost at the club, having been involved in a row with Jean-Clair Todibo during November’s encounter with Arsenal.

A win for the Irons would do nothing but paper over the ever-growing cracks that have emerged as a result of the Spaniard’s lack of ideas, which have caused the dismal season the Hammers are currently enduring.

A draw would likely see that suffering continue, while a defeat will just add fuel to the fire in questioning why he was allowed to take charge of the game in the first place.

Ultimately, the encounter with Wolves looks all but set to have a negative outcome no matter what and David Sullivan will certainly have that in mind ahead of the Premier League clash.

In other West Ham news, the Irons would be mad not to consider the appointment of this Premier League boss.
