Benrahma dropped, Noble returns – Confirmed West Ham team news v Chelsea
David Moyes has made two changes to the West Ham side that drew against Crystal Palace for tonight’s game against Chelsea.
Mark Noble and Fabian Balbuena replace Issa Diop and Said Benrahma as the Hammers look to have switched to a three-man midfield.
The team was announced on the club’s Twitter account before the game with Irons fans eager to see who Moyes would select to line up against the Blues.
Lukasz Fabianski keeps his place in net and he is protected by a defence of Vladimir Coufal, Angelo Ogbonna, Balbuena and Aaron Cresswell.
Noble joins Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice in a three-man midfield with Jarrod Bowen, Pablo Fornals and Sebastien Haller leading the line.
The Hammers will be looking to get back to winning ways following last week’s draw against Crystal Palace as the club’s assault on the Premier League’s European places continues.
The Hammers did the double over Chelsea last year and fans will be hoping that their side can continue that form into the new season.
There will be an added bonus for Hammers fans tonight if their side can sneak a win at Stamford Bridge as a third straight loss would seriously damage Chelsea’s title hopes.
West Ham face an uphill task however as Moyes has never won at The Bridge and the hosts boast an incredible array of attacking talent.
The Hammers are sure to give as good as they get when they take to the pitch tonight and a win would perhaps be the club’s biggest result of the season so far.
