BBC pundit rips into Said Benrahma in West Ham United loss to Manchester United
Chris Waddle has suggested Said Benrahma has “no end product” after the Algerian’s performance in West Ham United’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United.
The winger failed to make an impact in the second half after being a live wire for the Hammers in the first period of the Premier League clash.
Waddle feels the 27-year-old had the most space out of any West Ham player during the encounter but failed to take advantage of it.

Talking on BBC Radio 5 Live (30 October, 17:26), he said: “Benrahma has had the most space of any West Ham player today but he has not made the most of it. No end product.”
Debatable
It’s clear the Algerian does have elements of his game that he needs to improve upon, but to say he has no end product is slightly harsh. The 27-year-old scored eleven goals and managed six assists in the 2021/22 season, so his output is clearly there.
What’s frustrating is that he could potentially have even more in terms of goals and assists if he marginally improved his end product. Considering Benrahma was close to being shipped out of the club in the summer (The Sun, 8 June), he has made a good impression on David Moyes’ side in the early part of the campaign.

Moyes will be extremely disappointed not to have seen his side pick up at least a point at Old Trafford after Marcus Rashford’s first-half header proved the difference for Erik ten Hag’s side.
West Ham now have two Premier League fixtures left before the World Cup break with Moyes’ men currently in 13th position after a mixed start to the campaign.
