Anton Ferdinand backs Said Benrahma for success at West Ham
Anton Ferdinand has welcomed new signing Said Benrahma to West Ham United.
The Algerian international signed for the Hammers on deadline day last Friday, sealing an initial loan switch from Championship side Brentford.
David Moyes and the Irons have the option to make that move permanent at the end of this Premier League season for £25million plus add-ons.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Ferdinand welcomed the Algerian international to the London Stadium with open arms.
“Can’t wait to see this guy in the famous claret and blue strip,” he wrote.
“Good luck Said Benrahma work hard and excite the fans like I’ve watched you do for Brentford and you will be a success at this massive football club.”
Ferdinand claimed that Benrahma will be a massive success with the Irons if he can replicate his success from Brentford.
Over the past two seasons in the Championship, the winger has been involved in 50 goals and proved he can do it all.
It is a massive test first up for the winger, with the game against Manchester City likely to be his first taste of action in the Premier League.
Moyes won’t want to rush his new signing into thick of the action, but after the dreadful start last time out against Spurs, there are bound to be some changes.
Manuel Lanzini will likely to be favourite to come in after his wondergoal, and we expect Benrahma to be on the bench this weekend.
