Announcement update emerges on West Ham United ace Declan Rice as Arsenal close to British record transfer
Arsenal are reportedly hoping to confirm West Ham midfielder Declan Rice as their new signing by the end of this week.
According to the Times [29 June], the Gunners remain confident of a deal being finalised in the next 48 hours after agreeing on a £105million fee.
Ademipo Odubeko, Armstrong Oko-Flex and Brian Kinnear, Jamal Baptiste, Asher Falase and Manuel Lanzini have all left the Hammers this summer.

Record transfer
The long-drawn transfer saga now looks to have come to an end with Manchester City dropping out of the race to sign Rice.
Had the Citizens made another offer, the Gunners would’ve been forced to make an even higher bid and that would’ve been great for West Ham.
However, now they have to settle for what’s been recently given and it’s down to negotiating the terms of the payment structure.

They need to ensure that they get the money as quickly as possible and that the add-ons are attainable as clubs tend to offer unrealistic ones as well.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal do end up announcing the deal this week as they plan on doing but the chances of that hinge on how quickly they strike an agreement.
The Hammers need to spend this money wisely and not repeat what Tottenham Hotspur did when they sold Gareth Bale.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
