Andrea Belotti set to make decision amid West Ham United interest

Torino striker Andrea Belotti needs to make a decision on his future amid interest from West Ham.

According to a report from La Stampa, Torino have offered him a new deal at the club, and they want an answer from him before Sunday (22 May).

He has a contract at the club till the end of the season, and he is expected to move on as a free agent.

The report adds that AS Roma and Toronto FC are the other two clubs that are vying for his signature.

Should move

Belotti has been at Torino for seven years, and he has been a great servant to the club.

He has scored 113 goals for them and has a career tally of 143 goals. The Italian striker has scored eight goals in the Serie A this season.

At 28, he is at the right stage of his career to look for pastures new, and the Hammers should offer him a deal to lure him away.

He is likely to demand a hefty wage, but the Hammers won’t have to pay a penny to Torino.

West Ham

Signing a striker is necessary for the London outfit after a brilliant campaign, as they surely cannot rely on Michail Antonio to last an entire season all by himself once again.

The report suggests that Torino haven’t received any concrete interest from any of the clubs, but the Hammers are more serious than others.

It remains to be seen if they make a formal approach after the end of the season, as Belotti ticks many boxes. He would be a good addition to David Moyes’ side.
