Ally McCoist shares David Moyes sack verdict on talkSPORT after West Ham United wins
Ally McCoist believes that David Moyes fully deserves to remain as manager of West Ham United, into next season, as stated on talkSport [24 April].
He was responding to a question from Laura Woods when she asked if the current Hammers boss merits another year after seeming to secure their safety with his future becoming a real saga.
West Ham are currently making progress in the Premier League and the Europa Conference League, following a week of positive results and performances across both competitions.

Moyes’ stock is rising, understandably, given the upturn for the Hammers which could well lead to a successful climax of the season in the following weeks. McCoist was firm in his support for his fellow Scotsman staying on at the London Stadium.
“Yeah, yeah, I think he does. Of course, he does,” said the Rangers legend.
“Absolutely, he does. A great season last year, you know they’ve obviously struggled this year but they look as if they are turning a corner just now. I actually think they could win a European trophy and finish mid-table.
“And I’ve got to say, surely that’s acceptable? Surely.”
Speculation set to continue
In the absence of confirmation on what the club chiefs are planning for the new campaign, the speculation will continue.
The former Manchester United and Everton boss is thought to have one year remaining on his existing deal in east London [Sky Sports] but he could part ways with the Hammers in a matter of weeks if the club decides to go in a different direction.
This saga has been ongoing for months with no immediate resolution, expected. At least, not publicly.
It would be strange if Moyes was to lead the Irons to Europa Conference League glory and a solid league finish only to be deemed surplus to requirements but that is a realistic prospect.
The situation adds further intrigue to a fascinating end of the season that is in store for the West Ham supporters, with the league situation looking much better in addition to the continuation of the journey in Europe.
