Ally McCoist moots ‘interesting’ La Liga transfer for West Ham United ace Declan Rice live on talkSPORT
Ally McCoist believes West Ham ace Declan Rice may head to La Liga this summer due to his club pricing themselves out of the English market for the midfielder.
The Hammers will accept £100million plus a player for their captain, according to Sky Sports.
But according to McCoist, that fee could put off the Premier League giants, leaving a move to Spain as Rice’s only option.

“I find it difficult to judge the amount of money now because it’s just gone absolutely crazy,” McCoist said live on talkSPORT. “But the bottom line is, if a club wants him, they have to go and get him.
“Will West Ham price themselves out of the UK market, the English market? They might, so it might be the only place that he can go is Spain. It’s interesting.”

Let battle commence
Rice will undoubtedly be one of the most talked about players in the upcoming summer transfer window, with several clubs seemingly eyeing his signature.
The Hammers will, of course, be desperate to keep hold of their star man, but they also need to be realistic and perhaps accept that now is the right time to sell Rice, given how he could fetch a maximum fee this summer.
The midfielder has given his all for the club in recent seasons, with Hammers fans appreciating all he has done during his spell in East London.
If he does leave, the Europa Conference League trophy is the least he deserves, with West Ham going strong in the competition.
Given Real Madrid’s packed midfield, Barcelona may be an option for Rice, with the Catalan outfit set to be in the market for a player exactly like Rice ahead of the impending exit of fellow defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets.
