Ally McCoist makes Jarrod Bowen claim which will worry Graham Potter and West Ham
Jarrod Bowen attracted plenty of plaudits for his fine performances over the past year.
The West Ham winger has the most goal contributions of any player in the Premier League since April, with seven goals and three assists.
West Ham fans were surprised Bowen didn’t attract interest over the summer after an impressive five years in East London.
Bowen didn’t feature for England in their game against Andorra last time out, though, with former Scotland international Ally McCoist surprised he didn’t play.

Ally McCoist would love to see Jarrod Bowen start for England vs Serbia
England called up Bowen for the September international break after Thomas Tuchel snubbed him in June.
The Three Lions looked lifeless up front in the 2-0 win against Andorra at Villa Park, and they could shake things up against Serbia on Tuesday.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 9 September, McCoist said: “I’d love to see Jarrod Bowen, we spoke about it yesterday. Jarrod Bowen is the one I’d love to see get a start.”
- Bowen scored 13 goals in 34 Premier League appearances last season
- The winger scored more than 25 per cent of West Ham’s goals last season
- In 242 West Ham appearances, he has scored 75 goals, and assisted 52
TalkSport’s correspondent Faye Carruthers added: “I think he could potentially start.
“I agree, I’d like to see Jarrod Bowen as well, especially since he wasn’t part of the June camp, so I’d like to see what he can bring. Obviously, he has incredible experience as well in hostile atmospheres.”

West Ham can’t afford injury for Jarrod Bowen
After Niclas Fullkrug picked up an injury for Germany, there are concerns that the Hammers’ attack could be depleted after the international break.
Callum Wilson is West Ham’s only fit number nine, and his injury record and age don’t bode well for Potter.
Supporters will be pleased if Bowen gets a start for the Three Lions, but will be equally concerned about the unnecessary risks that come with it.
Should Bowen pick up an injury in such a tough run of fixtures, it could spell the end of Potter’s time at West Ham, with little hope of getting results.
The Hammers face Tottenham, Crystal Palace, and Everton in their next three games, which will be make-or-break for Potter.
