Ally McCoist and Alan Brazil in full agreement over ‘tremendous’ Crysencio Summerville at West Ham
Crysencio Summerville has been absolutely incredible for West Ham since the start of 2026.
Having signed for £25million plus add-ons from Leeds United in August 2024, Summerville initially made a slow start to life in E20.
However, Nuno Espirito Santo has finally gotten the best out of the Dutch winger, and there is no doubt that he is one of the most in-form players in the Premier League.
The 24-year-old was nominated for January’s Premier League Player of the Month award, and his recent performances have caught the eyes of Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist.

Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist rave over Crysencio Summerville’s impact at West Ham
Summerville has scored six goals in his last seven appearances in all competitions, which is as many as he had in his previous 56 games with West Ham and Leeds.
Despite all his goals coming since the turn of the year, only Jarrod Bowen (eight) has scored more times for the Hammers this season.
According to Sofascore, he successfully completes 1.3 dribbles per game, and he has been a huge threat down West Ham’s left-hand side.

Speaking on talkSPORT on 18 February, Brazil believes that Summerville has exceeded expectations for the Hammers.
He said: “I was surprised when he went to West Ham, but he’s lightning at the moment. He’s been brilliant.”
McCoist added: “They look tighter defensively, but for me, it’s the wide areas. Summerville has been tremendous, and he’s a different class.”
Although he has been brilliant at the London Stadium, he’ll need to maintain a high level of consistency for the rest of the campaign.
Summerville and Jarrod Bowen will single-handedly keep West Ham in the Premier League
While the majority of Premier League teams have a focal point up front, the purpose of Taty Castellanos’ role in the team is to bring Summerville and Bowen into play.
They have registered a combined total of 95 shots in the Premier League this season, which is phenomenal for a team in the relegation zone.
Either Summerville or Bowen has registered a goal involvement in each of West Ham’s last seven matches, which highlights their importance to the side.
An injury to either winger would be a massive dent to their survival hopes, while neither player can afford to go on a poor run of form.
Both players are being linked with moves away from the Hammers in the summer, regardless of their Premier League status, so they need to be enjoyed now.
However, they are certainly in the best position to score the goals that will keep West Ham in the top flight, with plenty of twists and turns to come.
And if they do so, not only will their value increase, but the Hammers will have more leverage in negotiations.
