Alex Kral opens up about reasons for leaving West Ham United

Alex Kral has revealed that he never really had an opportunity to showcase his talent at West Ham United.

The Czech Republic international is currently spending a season-long loan with German club FC Schalke 04 from Spartak Moscow once again.

Kral, while talking to Waz, stated that despite getting very few opportunities to prove himself to David Moyes at the London Stadium, he never created any problems.

“I didn’t get a clear answer from the coach (over my lack of opportunities at West Ham),” he said. “Mentally, the time in London was difficult because I didn’t get a chance to show myself.

“Despite this, I always behaved professionally and never caused a bad mood. Only in the car after training could I let my emotions out.”

Sad ending

Kral’s career with West Ham never really took off which is a little sad considering he arrived at the club as someone who has showcased his talent in his home country.

In total, he just played 255 minutes for the Hammers in six matches which cannot be classified as a real opportunity for a player to show what he is made up of, especially in a tough competition like the Premier League.

The move to Germany will be a good opportunity for Kral to rejuvenate his career and who knows he might have a role to play after with West Ham in the future.

As far as manager David Moyes is concerned, the 24-year-old’s words is a reminder as to why it is important that the manager has clear communication with the player so he knows where he is lacking and what he is doing which is not right.
