Aleksandar Mitrovic would be perfect for West Ham

It’s an open secret that West Ham need to sign a striker in January.

Michail Antonio has been struggling to rediscover the form that he showed in the early part of the campaign.

Declan Rice has recently admitted that the Hammers cannot always rely on him to score. But what option does David Moyes have?

Jarrod Bowen or Said Benrahma are not proper strikers. All this points to one direction – signing a striker is a top priority.

According to trusted club source ExWHUemployee, the Hammers are interested in signing Fulham striker Aleksander Mitrovic.

The Hammers have watched him closely, and they admire his qualities.

The 27-year-old is a natural goal scorer who has got loads of Premiership and Championship experience. His goal scoring ratio for Fulham is enviable.

For Serbia, he has scored 44 goals in 69 matches.

He has scored 63 goals for the Cottagers in four seasons, including 22 goals in the current campaign only. His current goal tally stands at 161 across all teams he has played for.

His impressive form has been praised in the media, with the Daily Mail describing him as “unstoppable” last month (16 November).

The numbers are unbelievable this season, and the Hammers must secure his signing in January.

He could be tempted to return to the Premier League, while he would still be staying in London.

Mitrovic has a contract at Fulham till 2026, and the Cottagers could demand a big sum for him.

Nevertheless, considering his age, form, and experience, he should be on top of Moyes’ priority list in January.
