Alan Shearer tips West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen to make England World Cup squad this year
Alan Shearer believes that Jarrod Bowen cannot possibly do more at West Ham in order to make the England World Cup squad.
The attacker was in contention during the recent international break, but an injury kept him out of Gareth Southgate’s squad.
However, he’s enjoyed a terrific season in terms of goals and assists and capped it off with a two-goal haul against Manchester City over the weekend.
Speaking on Premier League Productions after Newcastle beat Arsenal, Shearer said, “Jarrod Bowen has to be in the England squad. He’s had a fantastic season. Can’t do more. He’s got 10 assists too which is impressive.”
Sensational
Bowen has scored 12 goals along with his 10 assists in the Premier League this season and these are unreal numbers.

Players at Liverpool and Manchester City achieve them and for someone at West Ham to do it, makes the feat all the more special.
The 25-year-old undoubtedly is set for a bright future which could even be away from the London Stadium if he has loftier ambitions.
There’s a feeling that he’ll stick around for at least another year and replacing him is going to be an extremely difficult task.
However, in case he’s sold, the club will make a huge profit from his sale, so all will not be doom and gloom.
In terms of the World Cup, it’s a no brainer that Southgate needs to pick him and we cannot wait to see him in action firing on all cylinders in Qatar.
