Alan Shearer slams West Ham in prediction v Manchester United

Alan Shearer hasn’t been impressed by West Ham United as he predicted their result against Manchester United on Sunday in the Premier League.

Old Trafford will host Graham Potter’s team on 11 May, with both teams struggling in the bottom half of the table.

The London Stadium faithful aren’t happy with their Premier League position as they sit 17th, having won just nine games in the current campaign.

Supporters will hope the Hammers can overcome the Red Devils as they focus on the Europa League final, but that may not be the cards.

West Ham draw v Man United predicted by Shearer

Man United will get a draw against the Irons in the Premier League on Sunday, Shearer says.

The Newcastle icon believes it’s tough to call the result between the two teams, and they could potentially share points at Old Trafford.

Shearer hasn’t been impressed by the East London outfit, but a draw may be the likely outcome with the Red Devils eyeing the Europa League final.

The ex-striker wrote in the Metro (10 May): “What a tough one to call. Man United will be through to the Europa League final, and West Ham, I’m not impressed with at all, so for that reason I’ll go for a draw.”

Potter must change fortunes at the London Stadium soon

Potter could potentially be fighting for his job at the London Stadium if results continue to be poor in the coming weeks.

With three games left, the English manager must show he’s the right person to lead the Hammers next season.

David Sullivan may be forced to sack the ex-Chelsea boss if fans lose patience with him.

West Ham were expected to fight for a European position in the Premier League this season, but find themselves near the bottom of the table.

While Potter isn’t entirely to blame for the Irons’ struggles, with Julen Lopetegui’s tenure underwhelming, things haven’t changed much at the London Stadium with the change in manager.

A win against Man United may go a long way in instilling faith among the supporters and the East London club’s hierarchy regarding the Englishman.

Niclas Fullkrug’s return has bolstered the Hammers’ attacking threat, and the former Brighton head coach must start him against Amorim’s team.

Whether the Irons can get the job done at Old Trafford remains to be seen.
