Alan Brazil predicts ‘big, big trouble’ for David Moyes at West Ham United live on talkSPORT

Alan Brazil says West Ham manager David Moyes is in “big, big trouble” following his rant at the referee after his side’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool on Wednesday (26 April).

The Reds left the London Stadium with all three points from their Premier League clash, but Moyes was left enraged by the decision not to award the hosts a late penalty.

West Ham’s appeal against a Thiago handball in the box was not awarded by on-field referee Chris Kavanagh or Neil Swarbrick on VAR duty.

“They were unlucky not to get at least a point,” Ray Parlour said live on talkSPORT.

Brazil responded: “I know, and David is in trouble with that rant about VAR when he said ‘Tell the ref to go and look at the monitor, tell him to go and look.’

“So he’s in big, big trouble now.”

Potential trouble for Moyes

Moyes certainly didn’t hold back upon the final whistle at the London Stadium, with the Scot angered by the decision not to award his side a chance to level the game at 2-2.

Who knows what would have happened if the Hammers were given a penalty, but unfortunately for the home side it didn’t reach that stage, with Kavanagh feeling the full rage from Moyes shortly after.

Many West Ham players and fans were convinced that a spot-kick should have been given, but in the end the hosts were left with a frustrating result after putting up a good fight against an in-form Liverpool side.

The East London outfit would have moved further away from the dreaded relegation zone with the point, but they can still be counted as one of several clubs in real danger of going down.

As for Moyes, he looks certain to be in trouble for his on-field actions, with such an unnecessary distraction not wanted during these crucial moments for the club.
