AC Milan want to sign Gianluca Scamacca from West Ham United, he's 'one of the favourites' at San Siro
Serie A giants AC Milan could be interested in signing West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca who is “one of the favorites” at San Siro, as reported by Calciomercatoweb.
The 24-year-old striker joined the Hammers in the summer transfer window from Sassuolo on a big-money deal. AC Milan want him to replace Rafael Leao who could leave in January.
Scamacca is high on Rosonerri’s wish list. Last summer, Milan lost to West Ham in the race, but they could now make a concrete attempt to lure him to San Siro.
Milan are now one of the wealthy clubs in Italy after Gerry Cardinale’s red Bird Capital Partners bought a majority stake in the Italian club for around €1.2 billion (£1 billion).
Unlikely
Scamacca has taken time to settle down at the club, but he is a vastly talented player.

He has scored just three goals in 11 starts in the Premier League and also scored twice in the UEFA Conference League.
The Italian striker is currently injured but the club hope that he will continue to dazzle once he returns. The Hammers are fighting for survival this season, and Scamacca is expected to play a big role.
It looks highly unlikely that West Ham will sell him, either in January or next summer, to AC Milan.
The club signed him on a long-term deal, and surely they won’t sell him without giving him proper chance to shine.
Now, Moyes can be unpredictable regarding transfers. West Ham sent Nikola Vlasic on loan to Torino and could sell him permanently after just one season.
So, there is no guarantee that the Hammers will persist with Scamacca, unless he improves on his scoring numbers in the later part of the season.
