'Absolute joke' - These West Ham fans fume over Moyes decision v Leicester

West Ham manager David Moyes has opted against starting Pablo Fornals in his side’s Premier League clash with Leicester City this evening, and it’s fair to say that many Hammers are up in arms at the decision.

The Scot is looking for a better showing than he has has seen in the Irons’ last two outings, with his team having picked up just one point from a potential six.

As part of his plan to do that, Moyes has once again elected to start Manuel Lanzini in behind Sebastien Haller up top – but many fans think he’s gotten it badly wrong.

A large portion of the Hammers’ fanbase are instead calling for Spanish playmaker Fornals to get the nod.

Granted, the 23-year-old did play an hour against Everton on Saturday, suggesting that Moyes does have some faith in him, but that was from a berth out on the left wing rather than through the centre, and he was only given six minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United the week before that.

What’s more, he is genuinely beginning to justify a starting role.

Sure, he struggled when he first arrived in England, but for a player of his age, playing in a side that were plummeting as dreadfully as West Ham were, would you expect anything less?

In the four games prior to getting dropped against the Blades, however, he averaged a Whoscored rating of 7.35.

Honestly, what more can he do to convince Moyes he is worth a shot?

Here are some of the best reactions from irate supporters…
