£35m update emerges as West Ham United express interest to sign Manchester United defender Harry Maguire

Buying clubs reportedly believe that West Ham or any other side can reportedly secure the services of Manchester United defender Harry Maguire at a discount.

According to the Independent [8 July], the Old Trafford outfit are looking for £50million to part ways with the England international.

However, there is a belief that £35million will be enough to secure the services of the out-of-favour 30-year-old this summer.

Worth it at that price?

If West Ham can indeed sign Maguire for £35million, it may not be the worst idea in the world.

Before joining Manchester United and having that heavy price tag to live up to, he was delivering the goods for Leicester.

He showed that he was among the best centre-backs in the league and deservedly won himself an England call-up.

Since his debut, he’s justified why he deserves to be a regular for Gareth Southgate’s side.

At West Ham, there will be significantly lower expectations and David Moyes will not be daft to hand him the captain’s armband so soon like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did.

He’s a good passer and impressive in the air so he would be a good fit for Moyes at the London Stadium.

In other West Ham news, an injury expert has claimed that Moyes’ physical demands could see another star player seek a London Stadium exit this summer.
