£15.3m bid update emerges as West Ham eye move for ex Chelsea loanee and Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria
West Ham are reportedly set to amplify their pursuit to sign former Chelsea loanee and Juventus midfielder Denis Zakaria.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, they’re now set to make an official transfer bid of £15.3million to sign the Switzerland international.
While this is shy of what the Turin outfit wants for him, a compromise is expected to be reached by the end of next week.

Must not overpay
Zakaria appeared to be the real deal before he moved to Stamford Bridge but his stint in the Premier League was far from impressive.
A number of Hammers fans will probably have seen just those few months and they certainly will not rate him based on that.
There is some merit to that argument as players often do well in the Serie A and then fail to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League.

West Ham are replacing Declan Rice – a midfielder that did everything – and did everything extremely well.
To find someone like him will be impossible so David Moyes will perhaps be targeting two midfielders who can fill in the void left by the Englishman.
It remains to be seen whether or not Zakaria is one of them or if the Scotsman prefers names that have been successes in the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are already preparing to cash in on the Declan Rice money as they hold a transfer meeting in London as they’re confident of sealing a £50million signing.
