£13m update as West Ham United ready to break bank on Declan Rice
West Ham are reportedly prepared to break the bank to get Declan Rice to pen an extension at the London Stadium.
According to Six Foot Two [3 December], the Hammers are expected to come in with an offer of £250,000 per week or £13million per year to keep their captain for the foreseeable future.
However, the chances of an agreement being reached are slim, at the moment.

Do whatever it takes
West Ham know that Rice probably is the best player to have played for them in the Premier League era and is certainly the most valuable name ever on the books at the club.
There’s no surprise that clubs are queuing up to sign him as he is only 23 and is one of the best and most complete midfielders in Europe.
If one were to analyse his game, they’re unlikely to find any weakness and that gives a hint about just how good he can get in the future.
We’re waiting to see if he does play hardball again because he’s clearly got ambitions to play in the Champions League.
The timing of his interview is also eye-catching as the January window is just around the corner and maybe he could be looking for a move.
We think a summer move is more likely with clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal expected to be among the parties keen on signing him.
