‘Wow’ – Andy Gray staggered by West Ham reveal, it’ll cost Graham Potter his job

Graham Potter is under increasing pressure at West Ham after a run of one win in five games.

West Ham’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace brought about even more concerns for supporters as they conceded their seventh goal from a corner this season.

David Sullivan is under pressure to make big changes at West Ham, with fans lining the streets in protest against the Hammers’ hierarchy prior to today’s game.

Potter has been poor since taking charge of the Irons in the new year, and his winless run extends into last season.

Andy Gray surprised as West Ham go eight games without home win

Potter’s time with West Ham is almost certainly coming to an end.

West Ham fans showed their frustrations with Potter by booing his substitutions in the second half and chanting “you’re getting sacked in the morning”.

After failures this season, the Hammers boss is now considered alongside Avram Grant as one of their worst managers in their history.

The Irons are now eight games without a home win, in a run that stretches back to last season.

Speaking on beIN SPORTS, Andy Gray questioned the former Chelsea boss’s credentials.

“What’s that, eight Premier League home games without a win? Wow. Where does he go from here?” he said.

West Ham have now conceded 13 goals this season, with seven of those coming from corners.

They have also conceded three or more goals in 21 of their games since January 2024, when David Moyes was in charge.

With Potter’s reign expected to become a thing of the past, all eyes are on who could replace him at the London Stadium.

Who is in line to replace Graham Potter?

West Ham have been in contact with multiple managerial candidates throughout the week, with Potter’s departure expected.

Sean Dyche, Slaven Bilic, Nuno Espirito Santo and Gary O’Neil have all been linked with the role, with all of them currently out of a job.

Unconfirmed photos of Nuno in East London have been shared around social media, and Bilic is reportedly keen on a return to the London Stadium.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the Hammers to sack Potter and appoint a new manager.

Should it happen quickly, it would indicate that reports that the Hammers have already spoken to targets are true.
