West Ham vs Tottenham injury news: Niclas Fullkrug latest as four players definitely out

West Ham are looking to secure their first home win of the season against Tottenham on Saturday.

West Ham’s 3-0 away victory over Nottingham Forest has eased pressure on Graham Potter, as the East London club looks to build on that performance against Spurs.

The heavy defeats to Sunderland and Chelsea at the start of the season mean that Potter is still on thin ice going in to Saturday’s London derby.

Soungoutou Magassa and Igor Julio could make their West Ham debuts, and the new signings will need to get off to a good start in E20.

Seven potentially out for West Ham vs Tottenham

The London Stadium clash on Saturday, 23 August, will be missing some key players for both sides.

Luis Guilherme is out until October due to the broken collarbone he suffered in training, whilst Niclas Fullkrug sustained a muscular injury whilst on international duty, and is expected to also miss the Tottenham game.

For Spurs, Radu Dragusin remains a long-term absentee following the ACL injury he sustained in January, and Dejan Kulusevski is expected be out until the turn of the year.

New signing Kota Takai will also be unavailable, with the young star yet to play for Spurs.

Dominic Solanke and Yves Bissouma are facing late fitness tests for the match, and it is expected that they won’t be ready in time for Saturday.

When Potter was appointed, West Ham were 14th in the league, and that’s where the club finished at the end of last season.

A weak start to the season has shown that Potter is on borrowed time, and he needs to get his signings playing well instantly.

Matheus Fernandes had a promising debut, whilst El Hadji Malick Diouf has been full of energy on the left-hand side.

Potter will be hoping to see improvement from their last home match against Chelsea, and his new signings could prove the difference.
